40 Under 40: Class of 2020
“Hi everyone,
Beth here, interrupting your regularly scheduled Monday for an announcement:
I have been selected as a member of the 40 Under 40 Class of 2020!
On every career-related vision board since my 30th birthday, I had included a 40 Under 40 Award nomination, knowing that this was my next best chance. Friends had even nominated me for such awards, but I knew each was a long shot considering the size of the candidate pool, and the fact that I still had a few years to go before I hit the 40 mark.
Rewind a few months to early Fall of last year. I was in a completely different place with my business, having just made a series of decisions that left me feeling uncertain about the future. I had certainly learned a lot of lessons the first few years in business, but these lessons had the biggest ramifications. I was feeling stuck, and reconsidering the next quarter and beyond—as is normal in the ebb and flow of entrepreneurship.
It was on one particularly low and uncertain day that I received an email from my alma mater, Arcadia University, stating that I had been chosen as one of the University’s 40 Under 40, Class of 2020. It was not something I was expecting, but it came at a critical time in my business and entrepreneurship journey.
I am so grateful to be included among all of the other nominees, who have each accomplished so much since their college days. Thank you to Arcadia for including me, and congratulations to each and every member of this year’s class. With such a diverse array of industries, talents, skill sets and backgrounds, it makes me proud to be in the same category as each of you.
See full announcement here. Thank you everyone for your support, always!
Love,
Beth”
